In Week 23 it dropped by more than NOK 2 (€0.22/$0.31). Export volume was also down.
Export of salmon from Norway amounted to 13,271 metric tons calculated in round weight. This was a downturn in relation to Week 22, when export volume totaled over 16,000 metric tons. Week 23 last year exported 13,380 metric tons round weight.
Week 23 this year there were only four slaughter days, which is a factor in the decrease seen in relation to Week 22.
So far this year there has been 317,617 metric tons of salmon round weight exported from Norway, as opposed to 291,971 metric tons in the same period last year.
