Located in the coastal borough of Belsvik, Hemne in Sor-Trondelag County, 11 kilometers from the city of Trondheim, the new smolt plant is only a short distance from Leroy’s farming sites in mid-Norway.
Leroy Midt is a major player in the region’s aquaculture industry, producing enough salmon to equal half a billion dinner portions per year.
From now on most of the Leroy salmon from Leroy Midt will find their 'birthplace' in the plant at Belsvik, before growing to market size at the farms nearby.
