Leroy Vest has applied for a license to produce lumpsucker fry and juveniles in the Sagen and Samnanger regions in Hordaland county, Norway.
Production volume will total 30 metric tons of lumpsuckers, which the company will employ against salmon lice at their fish farms.
In addition the company will produce up to 200,000 rainbow trout to be released into closed containment cages in the sea at Sagen.
Earlier this year, Leroy Vest was granted a permanent license to establish a closed containment site for farming of salmon and trout at its Sagen 2 site in Samnanger.
