Marine Harvest Chairman Ole-Eirik Leroy said it is “amusing” seafood company analysts think the bid for Cermaq should be raised from NOK 105 ($18 /€13.90) to NOK 115 ($19.67/€15.23) per share.
“It’s easy to be generous with other people’s money,” Leroy told newspaper Dagens Naeringsliv. “We’ve made an exceptionally good offer. At the same time we said we’ll look at all the elements to see if we can improve it.”
“We can’t base our judgments on how the share is trading day by day, we think industrially,” said Leroy.
