Leroy acquires stakes in Havfisk, Norway Seafoods for $246 million

Leroy Seafood Group on Thursday reached a deal with Aker Capital AS and Aker Capital II  AS to purchase majority stakes in Havfisk and Norway Seafood Group, giving the salmon farming giant a massive foothold in the wild whitefish sector.

Under the terms of the deal, Leroy will acquire a 64.4 percent stake in Havfisk and a 73.6 percent stake in Norway Seafoods for a total of NOK 1,989,315,444 (€213.7 million/$238.4 million) and NOK 62,293,254 (€6.7 million/$7.5 million), respectively.
