Fish catching in the Russian Far East, the country's main fishing region, has completely stopped since the middle of June due to a legal dispute.
The local office of the Federal Security Service (FSB), referring to a recent decision of the Supreme Arbitration Court, is not longer allowed to hold primary processing of products on fishing vessels , including freezing of caught fish.
Fishermen in response stopped working and are preparing a protest rally, saying it is unclear when and how the situation will resolve.
