Houston-based Landry's paid $6.6 million (€4.9 million) cash for the Oceanaire unit in the Westin Galleria hotel, according to court papers in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, Nation's Restaurant News reported.

Wade Wiestling, vice president of culinary development for Oceanaire, told IntraFish on friday he could not comment further as to whether any other units closed when the bankruptcy filing was announced have been sold.

Oceanaire emerged from bankruptcy protection in January.

The company shut four restaurants when it filed its papers in July -- in Charlotte, N.C.;
