The number of land-based salmon farms always seems to be in flux, but some of the industry's biggest supporters are hoping this year will finally be the one that proves what they say is true: that it can be done affordably and for a profit.
This year John Holder, owner of Canadian-based JLH Consulting, is working with Bellingham, Washington-based Aquacare to build new coho land-based salmon farms in British Columbia, Missouri and on Vancouver Island.
