In the latest issue of the magazine Norsk Sjomat, which is published by the trade organization Norske Sjomatbedrifters Servicekontor (Norwegian seafood companies service office), it has run a column on what it calls ”the fight for manual labor."
The editorial is thought-provoking, and illustrates a problem that is just as much of a challenge for the Norwegian as it is for the European seafood industry.
The main thrust of the editorial is based on the fact many companies in the seafood industry and grocery trade find it difficult to obtain labor and have even more of a problem obtaining skilled, qualified personnel.
