In an e-mail sent to Chilean radio station Bio Bio, the group “May 3 Autonomous Commando" claimed responsibility for placing a backpack with an incendiary device inside the first floor of the officesearly Monday.
The note sent to the radio station blamed the government and SalmonChile for the tough time caused to thousands of unemployed workers.
“This is the start of action, and this group’s response to abuse is violence,” the group said.
SalmonChile sources told IntraFish the first floor was mostly gutted, although it was possible to rescue some computers and other belongings through a hole they opened in a wall.
