In the foodservice category, the top prize went to Massachusetts-based North American ImEx for its product "Shucked Fresh Raw Lobster Meat."
Angulus Aguinaga's "La Gula del Norte" is a line of surimi ready-meals. They come in three varieties: garlic sauce, shrimp and garlic sauce, and mushrooms and garlic sauce. The judges commented they found the quality of the surimi and the attractive packaging particularly noteworthy.
ImEx's "Shucked Fresh Raw Lobster Meat" is made with a new high-pressure processing system that allows the lobsters to be shucked without cooking.
