Asked Wednesday if the Mexico move, announced in November by Hawaii-based Kona Blue, was progressing smoothly, “no” was what CEO and President Neil Anthony Sims told IntraFish.
The company was planning to deploy the first net pens this year at its proposed site in the Bay of La Paz, five miles off the coast of the Baja California peninsula in Mexico. The pens were to be stocked with fingerlings before the end of December.
“Some re-evaluations of moving forward there,” Sims said.
