On Monday, Brunswick, Georgia-based seafood processor and distributor King & Prince Seafood appeared in a Georgia court against Ecuador-based seafood exporter Transcity, S.A.

Transcity sold 971 cartons of frozen shrimp to King & Prince last month, priced at $174,131 (€154,239).

King & Prince alleged Transcity discounted the amount by $15,000 (€13,286) “because of quality issues with previous shipments,” according to court documents.

The company paid the discounted amount, but Transcity would not give the “bill of lading … for the container when it arrived” in Georgia, according to the plaintiff.
