Tilapia sales now comprise about 25 percent of the company’s fish sales, and that percentage will continue to grow, CEO Jim Carlberg told IntraFish.

“We’re growing a lot of tilapia, and we do some carp and some catfish. So we still do a significantly large amount of fresh bass, particularly for sushi, then we do live in southern California. We do live tilapia in northern and southern California, along with some carp and catfish,” said Carlberg. “It’s working out pretty well for us.
