Kailis & France Holdings sold its K & F Foods division to a team of investors for an undisclosed sum, reflecting a desire on the part of management to return to its core businesses. Founders George & Theo Kailis and Murray France began in the Perth fishing industry.
Through its subsidiaries, Kailis & France Holdings are one of Australia's largest seafood exporters, dealing in prawns, Patagonian toothfish, New Zealand hoki and bluefin tuna, among other species. The company includes Austral Fisheries, MG Kailis Group and Lobster Australia under its umbrella.
