A California District Court Judge ruled Tuesday that James Wong can continue to serve as Yihe’s receiver and denied a motion from alleged creditor Qingdao Yijia Native Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd., (Yijia) to reconsider ownership of $20 million worth of frozen seafood, according to court officials.
Wong, who was appointed by the court in September to serve as receiver for the California-based seafood company, has been at the heart of numerous allegations that he was conspiring with Yihe’s founder Steve Chen to defraud creditors out of millions of dollars.
