Tuna cans from John West will start featuring a barcode tracking where the tuna in each particular can was caught, said a news report.
Starting Monday, Oct. 10, consumers will be able to type in a code found on the top of John West tuna cans to find out in which ocean, and by which vessel, the fish was caught.
John West has actually had the technology in place to track its supply chain for a decade, the company’s managing director Paul Reenan told BusinessGreen.
