Javier Garat, president of the European fishermen's body Europeche and general secretary of the Spanish Federation of Fisheries (Cepesca) will represent the organization in the European executive committee of the Market Advisory Council (MAC) for fishery products, reports La Voz de Galicia.
On June 8, Garat was appointed advisor to the MAC, which is formed of 51 members and aims to council the European Commission and Parliament on fisheries matters.
