Japanese retail giant Aeon and French frozen food retailer Picard Surgelés announced it will bring Picard products to the Japanese market through a new company.
The new company, Aeon Saveur, will launch on June 1 in Japan's Chiba Prefecture.
Aeon has been selling Picard products at hypermarket Aeon and supermarket Daiei over the past year and a half to good results.
Picard Surgelés began its operation as an icemaker in 1906. In 1962, the company began selling freezers and commercial frozen foods. Frozen foods for home use were added in 1973.
