Isidro de la Cal is planning to launch its frozen microwaveable tapas in Boston -- a ready-to-eat" concept featuring  clams, razor clams, cockles and different sauces such as onion and tomato, olive oil and garlic and lemon sauce.

"These products are pasteurized and can be reheated directly in the microwave in a new packaging," said Javier Aran Echabe, technical director for Isidro de la Cal.

"The smart thing about this packaging is that you can produce, deliver, heat/cook and eat the product in the same tray."

"We are targeting wholesalers that will deliver daily the product to retailers in the area," Aran told IntraFish.
