The Norwegian Food Safety Authority (NFSA) confirmed ISA was detected at a Marine Harvest farm in the county of Nord-Trondelag.
ISA was confirmed last week at another Norwegian salmon farm owned by SalMar in Troms in northern Norway.
NFSA’s Namdal district office received a report of suspected ISA on May 5. Restrictions were imposed at the site May 6.
The diagnosis ISA was confirmed by the veterinary authorities May 11, based on samples taken May 6-7.
Fish were released into site cages in May 2008.
