Small-scale firm Namdal Settefisk has applied for two licenses to produce cod at the Olavika site in Fosnes, Nord-Trondelag County.
The company is seeking two licenses with capacity of 780 metric tons, to be established at the site, where eight cages and one feed float will be located.
Fosnes Borough Council has considered the matter and is positive to the establishment.
However, a leisure cabin settlement in the area will have to be taken into consideration -- the farm must be situated and operated in order to cause as little noise and light irritation for cabin owners in the area as possible.
