Established in 1962, Goatsbridge Trout fish farm claims to be the first privately owned fish farm in Ireland.

Primarily farming rainbow trout, the company supplies the domestic market with fresh and smoked fish, and a new tinned product. Goatsbridge was also the first Irish farm to sell trout caviar.

“We’re a small company of around 20 people, with just the one processing plant," Mag Kirwan, director at the company, told IntraFish. "But we try and innovate in terms of how we market and how we promote our brand, as well as how we produce our product."
