Irish seafood companies Atlanfish and Rockabill Shellfish on Wednesday launched a new international brand aimed at the Chinese market.
The Atlantic Gold brand will include a range of shellfish such as shrimp, crab, lobster, razor, clams, scallops as well as whitefish products. It will initially be available to the foodservice sector but will be later extended to retail.
Traditionally, the Irish seafood sector has concentrated on key markets in France, the United Kingdom and Germany, with a smaller niche markets in Asia.
