UK chilled seafood supplier Blue Earth Foods achieved a profit of £1.7 million (€2.4 million/$2.6 million) for 2014, a surge of 85 percent compared to the £240,800 (€337,120/$363,608) profit recorded in 2013.

Revenue for the year reached £72.6 million (€101.6 million/$109.6 million), up 14 percent from 2013’s revenue of £62.3 million (€87.2 million/$94.1 million).

According to Blue Earth’s strategic report for the year, the increase in sales was in line with company expectations.

David Hall, director at the company, said it would continue to reinvest in capital expenditure and people for the years to come, as part of parent company Seafresh Group's strategy to consolidate Blue Earth Foods as a "leading" supplier in the UK sector.
