IntraFish is out to find seafood's next leaders with the launch of the industry's first ever "40 under 40" campaign.

Identifying new talent is a challenge in every business -- but even more so in the seafood sector. With an ageing demographic, an increasingly large talent vacuum and tough competition with other industries, the seafood sector needs new blood.

Seafood needs energized, innovative individuals taking it forward across all aspects of the industry and we at IntraFish want to find those people, recognize their leadership and put them in the industry spotlight.

Through a nominations process open to the entire industry, IntraFish will select a final 40 to be named and profiled across our sites -- IntraFish.com, IntraFish.no, Seafood International, Fish Farming International and Fishing News International -- and social media forums.

Nominations can come from any sector – production, processing, R&D, sourcing, selling, buying, retailing, marketing, tech and feed – but candidates must be under 40 at the end of 2015 and have shown to be shaking up the status quo and ready to lead tomorrow's seafood industry.

The nominations process for IntraFish's 40 Under 40 is open now with a deadline of Nov. 7.
