The Russian Pollock Sustainability Alliance welcomed WWF’s decision to withdraw its objection for the Russian Sea of Okhotsk Pollock fishery certification under the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and recognize the progress that has been made for the Sea of Okhotsk fishery by the Russian Pollock Catchers Association (PCA).
Although, the Client Action Plan was approved by Intertek Moody Marine, the Conformity Accreditation Body (CAB) for Russian Pollock, WWF’s objection centered on some conditions and milestones in the Action Plan which in their view required adjustment.
