Indian shrimp exporter Falcon Marine is temporarily stopping exports to Japan after authorities started checking ethoxyquin levels in Indian shrimp.
This has caused many shrimp exporters in India to worry as consignments were rejected after inspections, leading to losses for the companies.
Falcon Marine, which sells 15 to 20 percent of its shrimp to Japan, is frustrated with the situation and is halting its exports to Japan because the problem is not yet solved, said Falcon Marine’s General Manager P. Padmanabhan.
