- Infectious Salmon anaemia was proven at Dønna on Tuesday 27 January, says the Nordland County Veterinarian, Per Arnfinn Hembre, to Seafarm Business Review.

ILA is a virus disease that often results in enormous losses for fish farmers.

Suspicions arose at Dønna the week before due to high fatalities in the fish pens. Last year, there were also high fatalities when the fish were set out, but no evidence of infectious diseases was revealed.

ILA has been confirmed at one installation. The fish have been slaughtered in pens with high fatalities.
