Icicle Seafoods is selling its 50 percent ownership of coho and Atlantic salmon farm Salmones Aysen S.A., to former CEOs Dennis Guhlke and Don Giles and their business partner Pablo Baraona.
The deal was completed March 4.
CEO Amy Humphreys said the deal allows Icicle to focus on wild-caught Alaskan seafood and farmed salmon in the Pacific Northwest while the new ownership group, headed by Guhlke and Giles, take over the farmed fish operations in Chile.
“We’re pleased that everyone wins under this deal and that a solid ownership group will be in place to manage and grow the Chilean fish farming business,” she said.
