Iceland Enterprise Investment Fund -- the pension fund owners of Icelandic Group -- announced the beginning of a formal sales process of Icelandic Iberica, the company's Spanish arm.
"Following the recent sale of the Icelandic Asia business to Brim, the Iceland Enterprise Investment Fund is today [Tuesday] announcing the beginning of a formal sales process relating to its Icelandic Iberica business held within Icelandic Group," the company said in a statement.
At this point, with a smaller and less complex business the Iceland Enterprise Investment Fund has decided the remaining individual operations of Seachill in the United Kingdom, Gadus in the Benelux, and Nyfiskur in Iceland will report directly to the owners, and will be wholly managed by the current in-country teams.
