Icelandic Group is currently contacting potential buyers regarding a sale of its operations in the United States as well as related sourcing and manufacturing businesses, including certain Asian operations, the company said.
The sale process of Newport News, Virginia-based Icelandic USA -- a distributor of fish fillets and other seafood to foodservice and retail – is expected to attract a range of trade and financial sector bidders.
Canadian frozen group High Liner Foods has publically expressed interest and several other bidders are also expected, according to sources in touch with IntraFish.
