Icelandic Group will be renaming its UK arm to Icelandic Seachill and its Belgium division to Icelandic Gadus, the company announced Wednesday.
From Oct. 21, the ‘Seachill’, ‘Coldwater’ and ‘Icelandic UK’ trading names in the United Kingdom will cease to exist as they become part of a “united” Icelandic Seachill organization.
The company's three Grimsby factories, which employ more than 1,500 staff, will continue to operate as “distinct manufacturing units,” the company said in a statement.
But with distinct sector focuses these sites will be renamed “Chilled” (Laforey Road site) “Coated”, (East Site) and “Meals” (West Site) with the former “East Site” becoming the newly named Icelandic Seachill Head Office.
“Icelandic
