The latest figures from Statistics Iceland showed that total catch from Icelandic vessels in June was down from the same month last year, but overall first half harvests are up 10 percent from last year.
Last month, Iceland's harvest of demersal species such as cod, haddock, saithe and redfish accounted for 26,000 metric tons, of which cod made up 15,146 metric tons, haddock nearly 2,100 metric tons, redfish 2,451 metric tons and saithe 2,826 metric tons.
Tonnange of haddock on the other hand fell by 4,366 metric tons in June compared with a year earlier.
