The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) China is holding a month-long Alaska Seafood Fair at the Novotel Century Hotel in China through mid-May.
“They’ll design the menu, and we’ll put our promotional efforts into selling seafood during that time,” Alexa Tonkovich, International Program Coordinator for Asia, told IntraFish.
Featured items include black cod, king crab, coho salmon and halibut.
Novotel is EarthCheck certified, which makes it a good fit for ASMI, Tonkovich said. EarthCheck is an internationally-recognized environmental management and certification program designed for the travel and tourism industry.
