Mason says his product is one of a kind. His Honey Smoked Fish Co. sells the all-natural, honey smoked salmon through U.S. Foodservice and Sysco to big retailers such as Costco. Flavors include original, lemon pepper, cracked pepper, and hot chipotle and lime.
The Colorado-based company has been selling smoked salmon for 18 years, and they just opened a new factory to keep up with demand. Mason said he gets his salmon from a farm in British Columbia. He likes using farmed salmon because it’s fresh year-round and is more regulated.
