Hindar: We're 'more than happy' to talk to Marine Harvest

Cermaq CEO Jon Hindar would be glad to discuss a potential takeover by Marine Harvest -- if Copeinca is a part of the merged company.

Synergies between Cermaq and Copeinca are just as real as between Cermaq and Marine Harvest, he told IntraFish.

“The fact that we’re not talking right now is not due to a lack of will from our side," he said. "But Cermaq is prevented due to the agreements and commitments in relation to Copeinca.

"If Copeinca is a part of the talks and future plans for a merged Cermaq and Marine Harvest, we would be happy to discuss it," he said.
