Due to increased slaughter volumes this and next week the Norwegian Atlantic salmon market is heading for a big price drop.
IntraFish talked to seven different players Friday. Sales have been slow so far, which makes it difficult to determine the exact prices, however, the drop seems to settle around NOK 4 (€0.48/$0.65) and NOK 5 (€0.60/$0.81) compared to last Friday.
Overall, the traders and farmers report the following prices:
Size 2-3 kg -- NOK 25 (€3/$4.10) to NOK 27 (€3.20/$4.40)
Size 3-4 kg -- NOK 30 (€3.60/$4.90)
