Increased harvest volumes both this week and next week are causing the price of salmon to drop by around NOK 3 (€0.36/$0.50) from levels seen last Friday, farmers and exporters told IntraFish.
Several of the players IntraFish spoke to have not acted so far, but confirm that the price is starting to hover between NOK 42 (€5.10/$7) and NOK 44 (€5.30/$7.30) for salmon over 3 kilograms and around NOK 38 (€4.60/$6.30) and NOK 40 (€4.80/$6.70) for salmon weighing between two and three kilograms for the upcoming week.
