Western Norwegian salmon exporter Front Marine sold 16 percent more salmon last year but it was the higher salmon prices which boosted turnover 66 percent.

The company reported sales of NOK 441.3 million (€54.3 million/$73.5 million) last year, up from NOK 265.8 million (€32.7 million/$44.3 million) in 2012.

Operating profit in the company’s second complete year of operation amounted to NOK 8.2 million (€1 million/$1.4 million), up from NOK 3.9 million (€479,712/$649,619).

“The company has in just over two years in operation demonstrated the ability to grow parallel with increasing its result margin.
