Salmon producer Knutshaugfisk, based in western Norway, improved sales by 11 percent to NOK 112.9 million (€13.4 million/$15 million) in 2014, up from NOK 101.4 million (€12 million/$13.4 million) the year before thanks to higher salmon prices.
Operating profit declined however, to NOK 37.6 million (€4.5 million/$5 million) from NOK 38.3 million (€4.5 million/$5.1 million) the previous year and the operating margin reduced from 37.8 to 33.3 percent.
"The reason for the boost in sales is the good salmon prices continuing into and through 2014," said the board of directors in the company's annual report.
