Norwegian halibut farmer Nordic Seafarms is looking back at a mixed financial year of 2012: while it achieved a positive operating profit, the company's net profit slipped into the red.

Sales dropped to NOK 37.4 million (€4.8 million/$6.3 million) in 2012 from NOK 38.3 million (€4.9 million/$6.5 million) the previous year. Operating profit ended up at NOK 4.9 million (€624,240/$829,594), down from NOK 5.2 million (€662,459/$880,386) the previous year.
