Anchorage mother Zoi Maroudas-Tziolas won the grand prize for the 23rd annual Alaska Symphony of Seafood competition on Friday for her Hali Halibut baby food. The owner and founder of Bambinos Baby Food nabbed first place award for the retail category and took the People's Choice awards in Juneau and Anchorage.
In the retail category, Ocean Beauty Seafoods' Echo Falls Wild Alaska Salmon Candy took second place followed by Trapper Creek Smoking Co.'s Candied Smoked Salmon. In the foodservice category, Icicle Seafoods Fleet Manager Warner Lew placed first with his Deckhand Seafoods canned smoked herring, followed by Orca Bay Seafoods' Pacific Cod with Smokehouse BBQ Flavor and Orca Bay Seafoods' Keta salmon with Maple Bourbon Rub in third, according to the Cordova
