Lower supply of haddock on the back of lower fishing quotas in the North and Barents Sea is pushing prices up to as high as £3.50 (€4.10/$5.30) a kilogram, processors told IntraFish.
“The better sized haddocks from a size three upward are still commanding anywhere from £2.00 (€2.30/$3.00) to £3.50 (€4.10/$5.30) a kilo," Will Clark of Peterhead & Fraserburgh Fish Processors Association said. "On the other hand smaller sized fish, size 4 or size 5, are down as low as £0.55
