The Great Grimsby Seafood Village triumphed at the North Lincolnshire Business Awards last Friday evening, picking up the ‘North East Lincolnshire Economic Investment Award'.
Judges told how they were impressed by the initiative from the private sector, and the dogged determination to succeed from the directors, reported The Grimsby Telegraph.
A project that began in 2006, the village has seen a £2.5 million (€3.1 million/$4.2 million) build on land off Grimsby Docks which is now 80 percent occupied, and close to getting a training school off the ground, as well.
