Greenpeace expects the impact of its recently released first-ever canned tuna rankings for the United States to be similar to those in other countries. Greenpeace has ranked canned tuna brands in the past for the United Kingdom and Canada.

"We have found our rankings to be effective in the UK," Greenpeace Seafood Markets Lead Graham Forbes said, adding that after the UK rankings came out, the NGO saw major brands and retailers such as Sainsbury's and Waitrose step up and offer more sustainable options.

Following
