Greenpeace placed a huge inflatable fish in front of a Madrid branch of supermarket Alcampo after the supermarket refused to share details of its fish sourcing policy with consumers.
The 16-meter, 150-kilo fish skeleton adorned the front of the store for around five hours Tuesday in a protest against a lack of transparency in its supply chain.
A number of Greenpeace campaigners hung a banner that read "Destroys the Oceans" alongside the store’s logo.
The debate centered over whether Alcampo, an Auchan subsidiary, should tell consumers more about the origin of its seafood products.
