Greenpeace environmental campaigners are taking John West tuna from shelves of Sainsbury’s in Glasgow and Edinburgh, Scotland, in a bid to protest against the firm's fishing techniques, reports Deadline News Agency.
They have put signs up around the stores which appear to mimic Sainsbury’s branding to suggest the supermarket no longer stocks John West tuna.
The move comes after Greenpeace’s largest ship, the Esperanza, arrived at Tower Bridge in central London on the weekend, calling on supermarket Sainsbury’s to “stop killing our oceans” and drop tuna brand John West from its shelves.
