The value of Greenland’s landings rose to DKK 911.3 million (€118.5 million/$136.7 million) in 2014, up 6.8 percent from DKK 848.6 million (€110.3 million/$127.3 million) the previous year, according to the latest figures from Statistics Greenland.

Some 104,000 metric tons of seafood was landed in 2014, compared to 102,000 metric tons landed in 2013.

Of the total volume landed, shellfish brought in 43,500 metric tons, valued at DKK 333.8 million (€43.4 million/$50.1 million), down from the previous year, where 46,900 metric tons of shellfish was landed for DKK 360.6
