Loch Fyne, which was spun off from Loch Fyne Oysters (LFO), currently runs 36 restaurants throughout Britain with as many as six more on the way, including one in Dubai.
Like many pub owners, Greene King has been moving steadily into offering more food as Britain’s smoking ban takes a bite out of drink sales.
Greene King has identified at least 20 locations it owns that would be suitable for converting to a new LFR branch, the report said.
Private equity firm Hutton Collins bought a controlling stake in LFR two years ago for £31 million (€46 million/$62.8 million).
